Triangulation

Presenting a geometric form (flat profile, 3D surface, solid body) as a set of adjacent simplexes (segments, triangles, tetrahedrons), which approximate the original form with the given level of accuracy. A geometric model built as a result of triangulation, is called a mosaic (facetted) model.
