CAD
Computer-Aided Design (CAD) – the term covering a wide range of computer tools, which facilitate design by engineers, architects and other specialists. Being the key instrument of product lifecycle management (PLM), CAD-systems include numerous software and hardware tools – from 2D drawing systems to 3D parametric simulation of surfaces and solid bodies. Traditionally, computer-aided design is divided in:
- Architecture and construction (AEC CAD)
- Mechanical (MCAD)
- Electronic (EDA)
- Process planning (CAPP)
