JT

A file format designed by Engineering Animation (currently part of Siemens PLM Software, which provides its support and development) for visualization and data exchange in CAD. The format enables saving mosaic (facetted) surface model, precise geometry (NURBS), product manufacturing information (PMI), as well as meta-data. JT format is designed to support interactive display of large-scale assembling, with thousands of details. JT-files use data compression.
