CSM strategy enables companies to achieve competitive advantage by accelerated development and supplies of products due to their reuse. Includes managing the list of preferred suppliers and preferred details, associated prices and supply terms, minimizing the product costs by selecting equivalent parts. CSM is part of a more general strategy for supply chain management (SCM).
