DXF

DXF (Drawing eXchange Format) – an open file format developed by Autodesk to exchange data between AutoCAD and other software. Unlike closed binary format DWG (the original AutoCAD data format), Autodesk DXF specifications are not licensed which allows other providers to support them in their systems. DXF files can be text and binary.
